About us
Tibetan UN Advocacy aims to educate Tibetans about the many institutions of the United Nations, especially when it concerns them. The NGO would also aim to ensure effective participation by Tibetans at UN forums in order to create greater awareness of multilateral diplomacy. Tibetan UN Advocacy will uphold internationally accepted human rights laws, including the protection of the rights of indigenous peoples.
Established on 25 September 2007, Tibetan UN Advocacy is a NGO based in Geneva, Switzerland which is the headquarters of the UN Human Rights Treaty Bodies, the UN Human Rights Council and the Office of UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. The NGO is a non-profit organisation governed by the Articles of Association, pursuant to Articles 60 et seq. of the Swiss Civil Code.
